Elder Abuse

Our lawyers are seeing the increase in the unfortunate situations where parents move in with the children and grand children. Sometimes the grandparents are asked to sign a mortgage when they have already bought a house for cash with the children. Other times  their children may withhold access to the grandchildren unless the grandparents agree to paying for or doing something they do not wish to. These are just two of the many examples of this increasing scourge in our community.
If you are contemplating moving in with your children, as this can often be a wonderful experience, please see one of our lawyers first, before you commit, so we can prepare an agreement between you and your children, which will help protect everyone.
