Jantha

We are sponsoring Jantha in Cambodia monthly – this sponsorship will assist him through his schooling. The sponsorship covers school fees at the best private school in Poipet, transportation to and from the school and a meal each day. Our sponsorship has also gone towards paying for uniforms, shoes, backpack and school supplies for Jantha.

It is wonderful to hear that in the afternoons (after school), Jantha attends the “Bridge of Hope” Learning Centre that Pasto Perlito and Rose operate. Jantha learns about Jesus and how to speak English. Through our sponsorship we are supporting the wider community through providing the opportunity for Jantha to attend school and to gain an education that otherwise isn’t possible. This education ensures a more secure and better future for Jantha and his family.

Smith Family

One in six Australian children and young people are growing up in poverty, where even the bare necessities are hard to come by. In a family where there is no regular income, money goes on food, rent and bills. Finding money for a school uniform, proper shoes, textbooks or the next school excursion is often impossible. We have chosen to sponsor a disadvantaged child through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program to ensure that they have the extra support to stay in school and go on to further studies or employment. By sponsoring the student, we are helping him with modest financial support to pay for school essentials like school uniforms or textbooks. Sponsorship also provides guidance and support from a Learning for Life coordinator who works with the family and understands the specific needs of the child; and ongoing access to The Smith Family’s out-of-school learning and mentoring programs to help students build the skills they need to thrive at school and beyond.”
