Is COVID impacting conveyancing & the property market?

Mr Philip Roberts, principal of RobertsLaw, recently attended the AGM for Mudgeeraba Chamber of Commerce and was chatting to Mr Murray Duthie from Mudgeeraba First National Real Estate, and later, Mr John Kennedy from Mortgage Choice.

It was interesting that both agreed that property sales had increased a lot over the last 6-8 weeks, but none of us could agree on what was driving the up tick, particularly of cash buyers. We did think it could be attributed to southern buyers once again realising how good the Gold Coast is.

In the news we hear of so many people being negatively impacted by Co-vid so this uptrend is quite surprising. A very pleasant surprise that we hope will continue to drive a positive conveyancing market.

If you are looking at buying or selling your home, please contact Kim Minogue at RobertsLaw on 07 55305 700 to discuss your conveyancing needs and any queries you may have. As a service to our clients, we offer to review any Contract of Sale or Purchase that you may be considering entering before you sign. This is something we highly recommend and whilst most Contracts are standard, you don’t want to be caught out with any nasty surprises after you have signed on the dotted line. There is no fee for this review when you use our firm as your Conveyancing Solicitor.
